About Me
Odinaka is a graduate of International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the Penn-UNESCO Scholarship awarded to individuals committed to international education in developing countries.
She has 6 years of experience in designing and implementing programs that teach literacy and life skills to children and youths living in low-income communities in Nigeria. She has worked as a teacher in Makoko Nigeria; one of Africa’s largest Slums. Odinaka is also the co-founder of
Odinaka Chukwu brings a dynamic set of experiences in international education, non-profit leadership, and social change and transformation, including co-founding Sharing Life Africa, a nonprofit creating access to quality education for children in underserved communities in Africa through women's economic empowerment and education support programs.
She also writes about emotional wellness and self-identity, using her stories to challenge stereotypes and bring awareness to conversations that are not spoken out loud.
What I do…
🧭 Co-lead a Nonprofit
I co-lead Sharing Life Africa, a nonprofit creating access to quality education for children in Africa and investing in economic opportunities for women in low-income communities. We run School support programs, Girls' Education Initiatives and Women Empowerment Programs.
🎙️Hosting a Podcast
I created the Graduate Journey Podcast to help people like me in SubSaharan Africa access the best universities in the World by talking about my journey and experience in the University of Pennsylvania.
💻Work at CRS
I currently work with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as a Leadership Development Professional. Here, I play a key role in improving and systemizing our leadership development programs, including project management, knowledge management, and program evaluation and learning.
