A Love Letter to Myself
Last year I became more intentional about writing love letters of kindness and encouragement to myself. I find this to be a very reflective and therapeutic experience. Whenever I write to myself, I find myself more in awe of my being. I am always marveled at my inner strength and I find the courage to keep pushing in the midst of uncertainties and tough times. Writing to myself reminds me of all the great things I am capable of. It helps me appreciate my uniqueness. Even when I am reminded of my flaws as I write, the fact that God loves me all the same supersedes any feelings of inadequacy I might feel.
So here's a letter I wrote to myself last night and you should also try writing one to yourself :)
My Love Letter to you♥️
Ody you are strong, you are powerful, you are capable. You are beautiful, disciplined and determined. I have seen you wade through tough times and still be able to hold up faith and even encourage others. You are beautiful, in and out and what is so beautiful to watch is your daily growth. I see how you strive to become a better person each day. You are the most intentional person I have ever come across.
Ody, you are resilient; you never give up. You keep pushing till it’s done. You are not one to fall and remain down but you pick yourself up at each time and keep going forward. You are passionate. You are loving, you have a pure heart and a heart of gold. You are vulnerable and it’s beautiful cause out of your vulnerability comes your strength.
You keep rediscovering new parts of you each day, which is interesting. You love to laugh, be happy and live life freely. You are a deeply reflective thinker and that has been an engine behind your growth. You are learning to be non-conventional and challenge the status quo. You speak with wisdom and your words provide healing. I love you Ody, even in your imperfections, you are perfect for me and unique. I would not trade you for any other being because there is none like you. You are really awesome. Keep being you, keep letting your light shine. I will never stop loving you.
From your life-long lover, Ody.
Thanks for reading my love letter to me. Now, I challenge you to write yours. Take some time to reflect, look inwards and do not hold back the self-appreciation.
